Welcome back to another episode of Paint Society! In this episode, we will be installing the M7K Max Jack Lift in a home garage. This portable car lift is the perfect solution for those with small garages who still want the convenience of a lift. The Max Jack Lift has a capacity of up to 7,000 pounds, making it suitable for most vehicles.

First, let’s discuss the location where we will install the lift. We have chosen to use a space in the garage for the Max Jack Lift. One of the great features of this lift is its portability. When not in use, we can easily pick up the lift and move it to the side, allowing us to have more space in the garage for other activities like painting or sanding.

Now, let’s take a look at what’s in the box and what we need to assemble for today’s installation. We lay out all the hardware, hoses, lift pads, and lift arms that came with the Max Jack Lift. The lift arms are sturdy and can handle up to 7,000 pounds, which is impressive. The build quality of this lift is excellent, and our team is impressed by how well it is put together.

To start assembling the lift, we begin by putting on the wheels. The wheels are removable, which makes it easy to move the lift around without taking up too much space in the garage. We also attach the handles, which make the lift even more portable and easy to maneuver. Next, we install the safety locks. These locks ensure that the lift stays in place and doesn’t accidentally lower when a vehicle is on it.

We then connect the fittings into the bottom of the cylinder and attach the quick connect fittings for the hydraulic hoses. These fittings allow us to easily connect and disconnect the hydraulic hoses when we need to move the lift.

Before we install the lift, we need to determine the ideal placement in the garage. We measure the space and make sure that there is enough room for the vehicle to fit with the lift in place. We also ensure that the lift won’t interfere with other areas of the garage, such as the middle bay where we plan to put our paint booth. Once we find the perfect spot, we mark where we want to drill holes for the lift.

Now it’s time for the test. We will be testing the lift with three different vehicles of varying heights and weights. Before we begin, we have a quick tip for those planning to run the hydraulic lines through the ceiling or attic to keep things clean. Keep in mind that the hydraulic lines will fight against gravity, so you need to have some weight on the lift to bring it down. This is because the lines are designed to be on a dolly cart with equal lengths going to each post. However, even with a custom setup like ours, the lift still works perfectly fine.

For our first vehicle, we have an Acura TLX weighing around 4,000 pounds at stock height. We position the lift posts to ensure that the car can come in straight without any issues. When opening the doors, we need to be careful as they can hit the lift posts. On this lift, a pad is provided on the post to minimize any potential damage. We make sure to find the jacking point on the vehicle and align it with the lift pad. With the press of a button, the lift starts to raise the car. The flow divider in the hydraulic system balances the differences in the air hoses and ensures that the car lifts evenly.

As the car lifts, we can see that it comes close to the rocker panel. We contacted BendPak, the manufacturer of the lift, and they informed us that there are adjustable pads available to prevent any contact with the rocker panel. The lift lifts the car evenly, thanks to the locking mechanism on each post. Once raised, we have access to the suspension and other components underneath the car, allowing us to perform various tasks such as tire changes and bodywork.

Next, we test the lift with a lower car using race ramps to assist in getting the vehicle onto the lift. The race ramps ensure that the car clears the inclined driveway and the lift can get underneath it. Again, the lift performs flawlessly, allowing us to work on the vehicle with ease.

Overall, the Max Jack Lift proves to be an excellent solution for those with small garages. Its portability, sturdy construction, and ease of use make it a valuable tool for any car enthusiast or DIYer. The lift provides ample space to work on vehicles and allows for customization based on individual needs.

In conclusion, if you have a small garage and are in need of a car lift, the Max Jack Lift is the perfect solution. It offers portability, ease of use, and the capacity to lift vehicles up to 7,000 pounds. Whether you want to work on your car’s suspension, change tires, or perform bodywork, this lift will make your life much easier. Say goodbye to cramped spaces and hello to the convenience of a portable car lift!
